"Everyone's Playing" Now A Free Download

For an unlimited time only, you can now download our EP, Everyone's Playing, for free on our MySpace or at EsqueLife.com/music.html. It's been out for almost three years now, and will soon be outclassed by our full-length, so it just seems like the right thing to do. You can still buy the beautifully designed physical copies at Amazon, CD Baby, or directly from us. Otherwise, have fun with 1s and 0s, share and share alike.

Pianos 4/4

We've been added to a bill at Pianos tomorrow with Crocodiles, New Thrill Parade, and Tweak Bird.

Pianos is at 158 Ludlow in the Lower East Side.

It's $10, but contact us about guest list slots.

We play at 8 o'clock. 8 o'clock, no kidding around.

This is the full band again.

Fingers Crossed

Meeting with engineer today to see what, if anything, can be salvaged following his hard-drive failure. Good thing we work slow and hadn't gotten much done, anyway.

Show at Coco66 on Friday 3/6

Show this Friday, March 6th, at Coco66 on 66 Greenpoint Ave. in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. Also playing: Suckers; Aaron Pfenning of Chairlift's solo project; and Acrylics, featuring ex-Stylofone members. We start at something like 9pm. No word on a cover yet.

This will be the second entry in the ongoing Evolving Line-Up series. This performance will feature previous guest-musician Jeff Knutsen (of It Lives and Fast Fourier) in a different role, and longtime friend of but new addition to the Esque family Kevin Duffey (DJ Niteline).

Finally got the piano part recorded for the last song of the new album today, which means that progress will now pick up. Expect new product of some kind by spring.

You can also, as the late Steve Harvey said, "show your love" on MySpace, Last.fm, Facebook, Pandora, and Sirius/XM Radio.

In musical news, not much progress recently on the record. There's one song that has to be built around piano, and I have to bring someone in that can actually play. Been teaching someone the part, but they are tough to get ahold of. After that, things should fly. If you want to donate to the recording fund, buy something.

Steve Harvey's not dead? Huh.
